This homepage, perhaps first and only phonecards collector's homepage on
the Web from my country. Please inform me if I am mistaken or you know
other buddies, so I can add their names and homepages to my links.
I have started to collect phonecards on February 1998 with 20 cards. Now
I have nearly 2500 cards. Due to the huge amount of phonecards all over
the World, I have made a limitation myself and collect only following themes:
Trains, military and civil aircrafts, space and satellites, ground station
satellite antennas, cosmos, planets, flowers, animals(especially butterflies
and tigers), Christmas and New Year, Coca/Pepsi Cola, Disney's, Unicef,
Europe Union, Formula 1 and Indy Cars.

to Belgian Alcatel-Bell type which is thin magnetic cards. On April 24th,

Alcatel cards are produced 3 different versions: 30 units, 60 units,
100 units and they are most widely used cards in Turkey. A special point
of the Alcatel cards used in Turkey are : The card retains by the phone
when the credit expired. For this reason you always must be careful and
watch the display while you talk on the phone. If you want to keep the
card, you must change the card or hang-off the phone when a few credit
remains on the card, otherwise you will LOST IT!!!
Smart chip phonecards are rarely produced and used in Turkey. First
widely used smart chip phonecards issued on May 1996 by Netas Telephone
Company during the United Nations Conference on Human Settlements,Habitat
II City Submit, 3-14 June 1996 in Istanbul. They were 100 and 350 units
and 44.000 and 36.000 pieces issued each one's respectively.
At the beginning of the 1998, Turk Telecom introduced new Global
Phone Card ( Kuresel Kart in Turkish). They are prepaid remote call cards.
You can call from any telephone to anywhere when you dial a special phone
number and enter your pincode which printed on the card. They are sold
in a sealed envelope with hidden pin-code reverse side.
